Mission San Juan Capistrano Wedding - Sofie & Shawn

One of the classiest, yet most joyful weddings we’ve gotten to be a part of is Sofie and Shawn’s beautiful & luxurious wedding out in San Diego, CA. It all takes place at the beautiful Serra Plaza, which lends itself to create the perfect backdrop for an Italian inspired Garden Party.

Before the ceremony began, they wanted to have a first look to spend more time together. So we headed off to Mission San Juan Capistrano. They couldn’t be happier to have seen each other, and we had to work fast, because it was hotter than we anticipated. We moved around and took advantage, but then we drove back to Serra Plaza to get ready for their ceremony.

As florals were put on the plaza’s iconic fountain, and all through out the space, the whole space came alive. As Sophie and Shawn interchanged some of the most moving vows we’ve heard to date, you could tell they were super excited to party the rest of the night. And let me tell you, they partied HARD!

From being lifted in chairs, to carried through the crowds, to hearing some funny stories brought up in the toasts, to a live band that rocked our socks off. However, the biggest surprise was the SILENT DISCO at the end of the night! Why isn’t this done at every wedding?!?!?! We had the most amazing time with them. If you’re wanting to have a fun party with your guests, then this is the wedding to look at for reference.
